ImageHot air ballooning is a recently introduced adventure sport which has quickly become a craze in Kathmandu. Thrill seekers are carried up in a basket suspended from a large balloon which is filled with hot air the balloon slowly goes up to height of about 3,000 m. from where a super wide-angle panorama of the Himalaya can be enjoyed. Balloonists are also treated to fantastic downward views of the Kathmandu Valley.
